Our story
Rescue 3 Norge was founded in 1993. Based in the heart of the Sjoa valley naturally created strong ties to the rafting and kayaking community.
Jan became a Rescue3 Instructor in 1998, trained in the USA and started teaching courses for Rescue3 Norge in 1999. Anett handled the administrative side of the company and, in addition, taught white water kayak courses daily.
In 2012, Simon – already an experienced white water kayak instructor – began assisting Jan on courses. He quickly developed a passion for teaching, especially in the field of rescue. After completing his Rescue 3 Instructor certification, his journey as a dedicated rescue trainer truly began.
Fast forward to 2024: Jan and Anett passed the reins to Simon. With a fresh rebrand to R3 Norge, the company carries forward the same ethos and passion that have defined it since the beginning – delivering the very best rescue training possible.
